Azuneko Studio's Black Diary Case 1 is Released!

Title: Black Diary Case 1
Developer: Azuneko Studio
Release Date: July 2014
Platform: PC, iOS
Type: Visual Novel

Summary:

Colette is a high school detective who investigates a series of unusual mysteries that take place within the school. As she solves cases of missing students, an obsessed stalker, a play-sabotaging phantom, and a suicidal literature-lover, she starts to uncover bits and pieces of an even bigger mystery whose mastermind could be someone just by her side. Is the truth uncovered real? Or is it all just part of someone's plan?

This whole game is actually divided into cases. Right now, only the first case is released, which is about an hour of playtime (that is if no detours were taken).

The main character is the cheerful fried-eggs-loving girl named Colette Leblanc who is such a danger magnet that she gets hit by a ball in the head and ends up in the infirmary. There she meets Dr. Cohen, a creepy doctor whose smiles are a rarity (except around Colette of course), who challenges her to solve mysteries around the school. Colette accepts and her first task is to prove Tom Hamilton innocent.

Case 1 is divided into 2 parts, the first is all about helping Tom clear his name. The second part is the real deal, which is about a pianist named Risa who went missing on the night of the test of courage (which is pretty much that whole exploring an abandoned school building at night). So you go around, gather info, and finally piece together what happened that night.

At times, you have to argue with some characters. The game employs a 'life' system, where you start off with 5 lives and lose one every time you pick the wrong choice. So, you're better off paying attention to details.

Black Diary also has a set of quirky characters like the justice-obsessed student council president Mikhail and the carrot-sporting Nora. Of course, there are normal ones too like Colette's best friend, Ayase, who acts like a mother figure, and the unfortunate Tom, who always ends up in people's suspect list. (lol. Poor Tom.)

Nope. Danger magnet Colette will always head to danger.

Nora defending her choice of TV shows.

Papina's Otaku Life Update #3: Never Enough Corpse Party

I finally got myself to watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. I read the manga before, and the anime still portrays the scenes as hilariously as the manga. Oh gosh. My stomach hurts from laughing. This series has tons of really unique characters (I have no better term for them) who make you facepalm a lot.

And now,... more Corpse Party stuff because I love the series a lot:

Everybody Loves Yoshiki
Drama CD

If you're a Corpse Party fan, you should definitely listen to this. It's so hilarious! XD The story is just as the title goes... everybody looooves Yoshiki.

It's a little late, but I started playing Corpse Party -THE ANTHOLOGY- Sachiko's Game of Love ♥ Hysteric Birthday 2U. I'll post up my reactions review about it soon. It's been a really hilarious game so far.

All the hype for Corpse Party: Blood Drive is still going on in the Corpse Party community. Unfortunately, I didn't order the game cause I don't have a vita. Ugh. Well, I'll be patient and just wait. (Though I already spoiled myself from watching live streams of the game. Ehe. But they button mashed through the conversations, so I didn't pick up what they were really about.)

Ahh.. I wonder when will Gatchaman Crowds Season 2 will be be released.

Papina's Otaku Life Update #2: Awkward Moments

That awkward moment when you find out that crazy antagonist guy who kisses dudes from Gatchaman Crowds is voiced by Mamoru Miyano, who's this pop idol. (He also voiced Tokiya from Uta no Prince-sama)

I was at a restaurant with my friends when one of them suggested this drama CD to me. As I listened, I immediately recognized the voice. "MOCHIDA?!" ヘ(。□°)ヘ *imagination totally ruined* Derm it. Now I end up imagining Mochida Satoshi from Corpse Party whenever I listen to any drama CD voiced by Shimono Hiro. (。┰ω┰。)

Another awkward moment... but not anything anime related. I was at my friend Alis's place with my other friend Toru. As we were waiting for our other friend to arrive, Toru and I decided to go borrow Alis' prop swords and ambush our friend at the elevator. Toru was supposed to hold her hostage, then I appear declaring that I'm a warrior of justice (or something like that) and we have a short sword fight where I end up stabbing Toru. AND SO... we waited for our target to arrive. Once the elevator doors opened, Toru rushed in...!!! And...... *moment of silence* ........IT WAS ALIS' MOM!!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ WHYY?!

[Review] Alicemare

Title: Alicemare
Developer: Miwashiba
Translator: vgperson

"The ant told me that the frog is bad."

"The frog told me that the cat is bad."

"The cat told me, no, the rabbit is the worst of them all."

"So I…"

I played this game because I like games with s'plorin', puzzles, Alice-themed things, and strange worlds. Alicemare has some psychological stuff in it too and dark pasts. The character sprites are so adorable. It also has a nice dream-like color palette.

So you play as this child named Allen who lives in an institution with other children and "Teacher" (Yeah. You don't know his name for most of the game). He lost his memories in an accident and it's his first night at the institution. So Teacher goes, "Obey the rules. Don't go out of your room at night." But like most horror game protagonists who are told that, Allen does go out of his room to investigate, but teacher stops him. He goes to sleep and wakes up in an odd dreamworld. There, he meets Cheshire and enters a closet that leads him to NARNIA a room with many doors. The White Rabbit then asks Allen to help him bring back the keys.

Behind each door is the world or dream of one of the children at the orphanage. There are tons of puzzle solving stuff there and also some re-enactments of their past memories. So Allen goes through the doors and meets the other children. Together, they go explore the dreamworld and find the keys.

This game has a lot of endings, some of them unsettling. The truth about the world is revealed if you read Teacher's diary, but you have to figure out his name first.

Papina's Otaku Life Update #1: GATCHA MAAAAN!

I always ask myself nowadays: Where am I going with my life?
... but I'm not about to go on a rant on my personal life.

Instead, I want to talk about this anime I just watched because it's on my mind. I don't care if this is a blog for games, just let me off this once (or twice or thrice if I do it again in the future). Anyway, I was browsing through screenshots of stuff when I found a picture of Sugane from Gatchaman Crowds. I got intrigued, so I watched it... and now I love the show. GATCHA MAAAN!    (\˳˘ ɜ˘)˳ ♬♪♫

I really like the heroine, Hajime. She's so happy, playful, and carefree. She's extremely optimistic... even if the city just got burned down by aliens. I wish I had as much energy as her. I'm more like Utsutsu, the green-haired girl in the bikini who always looks sleepy.

I'm not into mecha animes. I think this is the first one that I actually really liked. This anime provided several perspectives on helping people, cooperation, and being happy. I got drawn by the whole "ideal world where everyone works together to help people in need through this social media called GALAX".

I totally ship Sugane and Hajime. lolol

Rui (guy with black hair and red glasses) is also so adorable! (●♡∀♡) He always cross-dresses when he goes out but he still looks adorable as a girl too! (´∀`)♡ Kyaa~ Megane!

Now that I finished watching this series, I'm back to playing Dreaming Mary and Brothers' Conflict Brilliant Blue. I need to redo the Bro Con game cause I missed an important event in Azusa's route. OTL Yeah. Maybe it's a good idea to follow a walkthrough for this one.

Gatcha! (*^▽^)/

[Review] Seven Mysteries

Title: Seven Mysteries
Genre: Horror
Developer: Sanggameboy (Le Hong Sang)
Original Language: Vietnamese
Translators: Greater Good 45 | Blurry Mind | Neku Sakuraba

The game's charm is in its story telling and how they based the stories on a set of fictional ghost stories from Kindaichi Case Files. It's what drew me in in the first place. You can search up some info on the Seven Mysteries of Fudo High so you can better appreciate the game if you're planning to play it.

I love how the stories all connect. That as you play each chapter, you get a better understanding of what exactly is going on because the stories narrated in each chapter are all happening simultaneously. There's also a huge twist in the end, which gives this game extra points.

Scariness factor? Well, with the dark school hallways which you explore with just a flashlight or candle and the creepy background music, will scare perhaps those not quite used to the horror game atmosphere yet. Based on my standards, it's far from scary and relies heavily on loud sounds and jump scares. Jump scares are important in horror games, but inducing fear without them and just letting fear creep into the player gradually is something I look for in a horror game. Yes. I want to be horribly disturbed.

My reaction to this game? I kept laughing for the first 3 chapters. And there's nothing that's meant to be funny in this game. I just found so many random things funny. When something is out of place or too exaggerated, that's when I start laughing. The chapters after that got me intrigued, cause it's where they start to reveal the truth and stuff.

Overall, this game isn't bad. It's like listening to a classmate telling you ghost stories and later finding out the gruesome secrets behind them, which is pretty enjoyable.

Summary:

1: Thirteen Steps

You play as Sang in this chapter. Sang and My are on night patrol, walking through the hallway with flashlights. At some point, they end up splitting up. Sang's flashlight runs out of battery. (Sucks for him.) Suddenly, he hears the sound of glass breaking. Thinking it's a prank pulled by My, he unlocks the classroom door and finds the window broken. He peers through the window and finds someone standing outside.
Goes looking for My to warn her and passes the stairs. He stops and remembers playing counting steps with "him", so he decides to count the steps. He's sure there are 12 steps, buuut... he ends up counting 13 steps in all. After he continues walking, My suddenly drops from the ceiling and went *splat* on the floor. (It was so random. I was just like... lalalala s'plorin'.... *SPLAT* WOAH LOLWTF.)

Am I a maniac for laughing at this scene?

2: The Music Room

This time, you control My. As she walks alone in hallway, the piano starts playing in music room, so she decides to go check it out. When she enters the room, the door closes and she's locked in. (Such typical horror game scenario) Suddenly, light flashes and bloody dead students are littering the room for a brief moment. My mutters, "It has started." (For a minute there, she sounded like a paranormal investigator who knew exactly what was happening.) Then, a notebook drops on the floor. And *poof* there's suddenly a rope ladder so she climbs that. As she goes through the mysterious attic place, she bumps into blonde haired glasses guy who screams as if he just saw a ghost and runs away. My continues walking, but falls through hole and dies.

3: The Chemistry Lab

You play as Loi for this chapter (who's the dude My bumped into.) He comments about how creepy the candles are so he should turn on the lights. WAIT. DUDE, LIKE WHY DIDN'T YOU TURN THEM ON IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHY ARE YOU WAITING IN A ROOM WITH LIT CANDLES ALL OVER THE PLACE? THAT'S PRETTY SHADY.

Anyway, so he flips the switch on but it doesn't turn on, so he decides to look for his other classmates and bumps into one of them, Mahn, at the door. He's happy... but then the guy hits him with a knife. lolwtf So Loi grabs a knife and fights him in the dark.

When he gets to the cafeteria, his other classmate Minh tries to kill him too. so he's desperate for light so he turns on the oven and it explodes. Loi gets thrown outside from the blast. THAT'S ONE SCARY OVEN. AND HOW IS THAT GUY STILL EVEN ALIVE AFTER BEING BLASTED THROUGH CONCRETE WALLS?!

EVEN THE OVEN IS TRYING TO KILL YOU.

Then he suddenly goes on "kill or be killed" mode and decides that he must kill everyone. He walks around the school grounds and finds a window where the shattered glass sound came from. He peers in and sees someone inside. (Note: Sang also peered through the window in chapter 1) Something appears behind Loi and pokes or pushes him, then disappears.

He heads inside and goes on a killing spree. (I had fun stabbing people in this part of the game. lol) Then, he wakes up in chem lab. IT WAS JUST A DREAM?! But he's holding a knife... so IT WAS REAL. Then Mahn enteres the room and complains about how he's taking too long. Mahn is alive?! They go to where everyone else (all of the people Loi stabbed earlier) was. They're still alive?! Loi becomes frightened and says, "Stay back!" He climbs up the rope ladder bumps into My who now looks deformed, so he screams and runs.

4: The Library

You play as Tuan this time. He's locked in the library. As he searches around, he finds a list of students who transferred. He wonders why a lot transfer every month. So, he continues to search the room and finds a pretty badly drawn map that indicates where the 4 treasures are. He goes "Well, if I'm going to be killed anyway, might as well enjoy treasure hunting." (Well, somewhere along those lines.) So he ends up finding a  rope, a calendar, a pen, and a diary.

(Note: The diary is the notebook that dropped when My was in the music room. Apparently, Tuan was hiding under the table the whole time. Aand, he was the one who broke the window in the classroom)

This soo reminds me of Ib.
Plus, the hallway music sounds like the same one from Ib too.

5: Good Morning

This chapter is narrated by student named Linh. Everything in this chapter is what's written in the diary. I'll leave this part as a surprise because it's what ties all the events together. It's best if you played it yourself.

6: The End...?

You control Tuan again and go check out that secret room mentioned in the diary. He gets locked in. Then weird stuff start happening once he tries to get the door opened. (I must admit. This scene was directed pretty well.) After the weird stuff, he leaves the room and follows a trail of red arrows. Once he enters the room they lead to, he relives the memories of Linh. His eye is hit by a stone and starts bleeding so he walks to the infirmary. (The surreal effect is cool and all but I hate how it's hard to tell where you're going or what you're examining.) He gets to the infirmary, grabs the first aid kit and heads to the library. After he uses it, he wakes up in the infirmary the day after (?). OR IS THIS ANOTHER ILLUSION? Well, he walks to the classroom and talks to Sang and My (WHY ARE YOU ALIVE?!) who tell him that there are illusions caused by paranormal activity that take place at night in the school and he's caught by it so he has to die in another's illusion so he won't die in real life. WHAT MADNESS IS THIS?! I DON'T TRUST YOU SANG. YOU KNOW TOO MUCH.

I STILL DON'T TRUST YOU, SANG!

Tuan tells Sang to meet him after class. When they meet, Tuan tells him that he knows how to break the curse. He asks Sang to lead him to a place with lots of mirrors. Once Tuan discovers the secret entrance, Sang pushes him in. TRAITOR!

This game has several different endings. This summary is based on my first play, in which I got a bad ending. lol

Random Thoughts on Corpse Party

Random Thought #1: That anatomical model is everywhere!

Did you notice how it's almost always in the game (except Book of Shadows and Dead Patient)?
And it's almost always the one that chases you!

Corpse Party -Rebuilt-

Nothing dangerous. It just stares at you...

Corpse Party If

It's slow in this game.
BUUT YOSHIKI WHY ARE YOU PANICKING
AND RUNNING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS?!

Corpse Party Zero

My dearest sister Shiho, I will save you!
But... WHERE DO WE GO EXACTLY?!
... so you have to run away from it while coming up with an idea to get rid of it.

Random Thought #2: That blood stain on Ayame's butt is so Ayumi-esque.

Remember Corpse Party Blood Covered? Ayumi had this red stain on the back of her skirt. This time, Ayame from Dead Patient has one too. Could it mean something?! Dun dun dun...

Random Thought #3: It's the Hasegawa sisters!!!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to screenshot it, but when you get to the basement in Corpse Party Blood Covered, you'll find Kaori and Shiho's name tags there and a poster on the wall which was addressed to Shiho (If my memory is correct... If not, then it's the other way around).

Random Thought #4: A fate worse than friendzone...
Getting a bad ending when trying to confess.

I feel sorry for Yoshiki, cause the game automatically goes to a bad end if he tries to confess to Ayumi in Blood Covered. Moreover, the ending it leads to is one of the worst endings where everyone dies, the cray cray drama-ful one where Ayumi burns Naomi's paper charm and kills her later.

Random Thought #5: For a minute there, I almost shipped Yoshiki and Morishige!

So there's this extra scene in Corpse Party: Blood Covered... Repeated Fear where Yoshiki accidentally steps on Shig's glasses, so he has to "take responsibility" (Oh my. Such otome-game-cliche line!) and lead Shig home. Since Shig can't see anything, he stays really close to Yoshiki. LOL

.... I apologize for the not-so-clear pictures. I still have to figure out how to take proper screenshots with my PSP.

That overly used reasoning: "It can't be helped!" XD

Hahaha.. Poor Mayu! XD

Just to clear up the misunderstanding, I'm not a yaoi fan. If you hand me a yaoi manga, I'll end up either laughing at it or admiring the art style. In this case, Yoshiki and Morishige are just so hilarious together especially with Yoshiki going all tsundere. XD HAHAHAHA. Oh, how cute.

~List of Corpse Party Games I've Played~
1. Corpse Party -Rebuilt-
2. Corpse Party Zero
3. Corpse Party If
4. Corpse Party Crossfear
5. Corpse Party Blood Covered... Repeated Fear
6. Corpse Party Book of Shadows
7. Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient Chapter 1

.... I can last all day just writing about this series. lol

[Review] Toilet In Wonderland

Title: Toilet in Wonderland
Release Date: Jan 2010
Developer: Team Nonsense
Genre: Horror
Translator: Memories of Fear

Download Here

If you're up for strange and extremely weird games, I'd definitely recommend Toilet in Wonderland to you. If I had to describe this game in a single phrase it's "Yume Nikki on crack". Yes. It's as if the developer was high while making this game. Weirdness factor aside, I did enjoy playing it and getting killed by Mario.

You control this constipated girl with orange hair named Mira. The objective of the game is to find all toilets in the "Wonderland". You can reduce her constipation rate by collecting laxatives spread out in the world. As MJ puts it:

Seriously... what's he doing in that game?

The game also has this thing called "Actions" you can set like "Punch" and "Become Bald". When you set a certain action, the person or object you interact with might react differently or an event might happen. Personally, I like setting "Punch" and just punching everything I see because some things do end up exploding and leaving a pool of blood. In other cases, like Mr. Cow, he just starts shouting.

There's a cow blocking the way.

Most of the time, you'll be exploring and stopping and staring and digesting all the weirdness you encounter. On some portions (Well, this game IS categorized as a horror game) you WILL get chased.... like several times. Oh, and this game has one of the most annoying type of jumpscares too (If you've played The Witch's House, it's kinda like the jumpscares there where they come when your guard is down.)

At some point in the game, you'll just start to wonder what the point of the game is. However, if you've played Yume Nikki before, then you'll realize that you'll just have to keep exploring and collect everything to see if something really does happen.

Err... Who's this guy? O.o

I just made friends with a fire extinguisher!

Some Trivia: This game won 2nd place at the VIP RPG Red-and-White 2010 festival

[Walkthrough] Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient - Chapter 1

「コープスパーティー2DEAD PATIENT Chapter1」

Operating Room

- Get the scissors from 1. And the ID card from 2.
- Take the key from 3.
- Equip key and unlock the cabinet in 5 to get the gloves.
- Equip the scissors and examine 6
- Equip the gloves and examine 6 again

Patient Cards:
No. 24 - south west corner of the hallway
No. 3 - on a table in the operating room (see area 4 in the pic above)
No. 12 - under a plant right beside the huge "2F" on the wall

Locker Room

- Go to the other room/ the laundry room and examine the clothes basket thing  above to get a small locker key 1

- Equip the small locker key 1 and examine the locker indicated above to get small locker key 2

- Equip small locker key 2 and examine the locker above to get the Office Key

Patient Cards:
No. 26 - underneath a plant in the laundry room
No. 15 - on a table in the locker room

Office

- Equip Office Key and unlock the door beside the save point/candle
- Examine the desks until you come across this document:

So this is a list of the office workers with their birthdays (year-month-day) and respective departments.
If you examine the computer screens, there's one message that tells you that the 部長 (buchō) or department chief's birthday is the password for the door, and another message (the one seen in the pic below) that tells you that the department chief's coffee mug is colored red.

Once you get the department chief's name, check his birthday (month-day) and input that into the lock.

If you're too lazy to do all that, here's the password: 0221

Medicine Info Desk

So after you did your exploring and followed old man ghost guy down to the first floor, go inside the room right beside the candle. There's a light switch at the left wall. REMEMBER ITS LOCATION. I don't want to spoil what happens next, so go do your exploring and when something bad starts to happen, run for the light switch. And then take the keys from the dead girl.

Main Entrance

Once you get out of the Medicine Info Desk room, a new area will become accessible, so go explore there and head to the main entrance.

Oh, at this point, you can also take the shoes out of the elevator so you can use the elevator later to get to the 2nd floor. (Note: The route with Ritsuko later will differ depending on whether you take the shoes out or not. Right now, I've only covered the route where you do take the shoes out.)

Anyway, so after the cutscenes and stuff, move the... what do you call that blue thing with wheels? Yeah. Just move that and take the 100 yen coin under it. AND SAVE. This is a horror game. You'll never know when something will appear and try to kill you.

I thought those were rose petals at first. lol

On your way out (or back in rather), there'll be a cut scene. Just run and get out of that place.

Now that you have money, go use it on the vending machine with a key stuck inside. The key is for the door on the 2nd floor, which is an emergency exit. That's located in the far right of the 1st hallway you enter in after getting out of the operating room. There's an exit sign right above the door.

Meeting Ritsuko

So unlock it and go outside. A cut scene follows where Ayame meets Ritsuko. Then you follow her to the MRI room, and another cut scene follows.

After all those cut scenes, Ritsuko will tell Ayame that they have to head to the Nurse's Station, which is located at the southeast area of the first floor. You just follow Ritsuko until you get to the elevator.

Once you exit, an old man ghost will appear and start chasing you. I just ran all the way to the 2nd floor (just to be safe) though I think it disappears or stops following you once you're halfway through the hall. I didn't really bother to check. lol

Nurse's Station

So now you go back to the first floor using the stairs and just head all the way to the right/end of the long hallway where a new area is accessible.

There, you'll find a girl being raped  eaten or sucked on by some zombie guy. So go grab the crutches and whack him once. Talk to the girl, whose name is Chiyomi. She'll start to run into the Nurse's Station, which is the door Ritsuko just opened. So you run in there too. Be careful not to get caught though because it takes around 2 times before Ayame starts to die.

A long cutscene follows. Later, Ritsuko will start to say something like "We must find a TV!" so you regain control of Ayame again. The TV is located at the northwest corner of the room.

After the cutscene with the TV, examine the blinking red light. Another cutscene follows and Chiyomi runs out of the room. This is where the story branches out, so I suggest saving here.

Good End

- Equip 10 yen coin and examine the vent (northeast of the room)
- Talk to Ritsuko twice and answer "I understand" 「わかります」
- Walk around the room, which should trigger the cutscene
- Walk around again and approach Ritsuko to trigger the next cutscene
- Walk around again
- Run to the vent and examine it!
- Exit vent (just go all the way left, dead ends have patient cards)
- Take the note from the north table and X-ray result No. 3 from the south table

The note you find on the table will tell you that the password to the door lies in the X-ray results

- Examine the area with computers and answer "Yes"「はい」 (It's a switch)
- Take X-ray result No. 1 from underneath the machinery that moved
- Examine the machine to the left to get X-ray result No. 2

If you want to try a hand at getting the password yourself, switch off the lights (beside the screen), equip the X-ray result and examine the screen.

Again, if you're too lazy to do everything, here's the password: 3268

- Head to the MRI room. Cutscene follows.
- Head to the Operating Room and remove the lock "取り除く"

To kill the fat zombie guy chasing you, make him land on his stomach and turn on the lights. Do this like... 3 times. To get him to land on his stomach, just stand there and make him run to you. When he tries to attack, dodge at the last min.

- Head to the main entrance

Note: The doors blocking the hall at the west area of the 2nd floor are not in their original places. So go south of the gurney (the one at the right of where the Office door is) and head left.

- Dodge everything in your path like a boss.
- Examine entrance door
- Examine it again

GOOD END! ......... but is it really a good end?

Patient Cards:
No. 23 - In the vent
No. 22 - In the vent
No. 13 - In the vent
No. 17 - Inside the room you get out of, right beside X-ray result no. 1
No. 9 - On the table in the MRI room
No. 27 - Underneath gurney in MRI room
No. 16 - Appears after the dead body disappears in the MRI room

Bad End

- Go out the door
- Answer "Yes" 「はい」when Ritsuko asks you something
- Run all the way west and enter the Girls' Restroom
- Talk to Chiyomi
- Go to the northwest corner of the restroom to get Toilet Paper
- Go to the MRI room
- Go exit the south door and go to the Operating Room
- Go back inside the MRI room (Cutscene follows)
- Go to the Nurse's station
- Submit to your fate and let yourself get eaten

-Patient Card list still needs updating-

[Review] Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient - Chapter 1

Title: 「コープスパーティー2DEAD PATIENT Chapter1」
Release Date: May 2013
Deveoper: TeamGrindhouse
Genre: Horror

I'm a huge Corpse Party fan, so I was quite excited to play Corpse Party 2. It looks amazing and creepy in 3D. The character models are also very adorable, despite being low poly. I love the music, which I think improved a lot. It boosts the creepiness level of the game by 3x. The sounds too are of good quality. Some sounds fade as you walk away from the area where they originate from. It's amazing how the quality developed into the way it is today from its original 90's version.

As someone who loves the whole creepy horror game atmosphere, the previous Corpse Party games really didn't satisfy me as much in that aspect. I've been looking for that atmosphere that will actually scare me or make my palms sweat as I play it in the middle of the night even if the character I'm controlling is just walking through the hallway and not being chased. I think this game scores well in that aspect.

Storywise, I find the events taking place in the game quite random. It has its good points such as giving you an element of surprise and confusion, but it makes the plot seem very random and messy.

Despite my love for horror games, I hate chase scenes (cause I suck at them lol). This game has a LOT of chase scenes, so if those aren't your cup of tea and you're planning to play Dead Patient, good luck with this game.

Characters:

Ayame Ito (伊藤 あやめ) - A white haired high school girl who lost her memory.
Satomi Ritsuko (里見 律子) - A press photographer
Homura Chiyomi (穂村 千代美) - Ayame's classmate
Yoshinaka Masami (芳仲 雅巳) - Ritsuko's fiance
Shimazaku Ryuji (島崎 竜司) - Ayame's classmate
Hiyami Masato (氷海 真里) - A boy who's helping an old man
Teshimizu Kurara (手清水 くらら) - Ayame's classmate

Plot:
*Warning! Spoilers ahead.*

The game begins with a short scene with a guy typing on a keyboard and this girl is Shinozaki who just keeps staring into space. The guy checks his mail box and finds a lot of e-mails with the same subject: 『Spiritual Investigator・*****'s Spiritual World Correspondence:Consultation Form』.  He asks her, "A lot came in. What do I do with this……?" and she just stares blankly into space like a mindless person. The scene ends with him telling her that they should close the window so she won't catch a cold.

Woopsie! *one of
.... my bad.

Ayame, the girl you play as, wakes up on an operating table and finds herself tied to it. She struggles and manages to get free. She realizes that she lost her memories. With the help of a medical chart nearby, she was able to remember her name. The door's card recognition machine thing's wires got cut so she fixes it and gets out of the room. She enters the hallway and finds this pool of tar-like liquid in the hallway. (I'm glad it doesn't cut into leg muscles like green bile)

So she walks out of the hallway and finds out she's on the 2nd floor. The hospital's name, Amare Patriarcha Crucis Hospital, is also posted up on the wall.

Later, she spots a ghost of an old man going down the stairs, so she follows him to the first floor where he disappears into the X-ray room, which is locked. Ayame then passes the Medicine Info Desk where she sees a shadow of a lady inside. She goes inside the dark room to check it out and finds the lady in a corner muttering a bunch of incomprehensible stuff. (Better get away from her, Ayame, before she suddenly stabs you!)

So, Ayame goes into the next room where there's this drawing of a black spider cat thing up on the wall. Suddenly, it laughs and moves! But nothing dangerous there... so Ayame just leaves it alone and finds a flashlight. When she gets back to the room with the cray cray lady, the lady just.... jumps off a chair and hangs herself! Wew.

Time to get out of there, Ayame. But NO! Door is locked. As expected. Then some deformed spider cat monster from the drawing appears and starts to pounce on Ayame. Liek wow. So random! It was a huge pain to run away from it at the first five tries cause I didn't know where to find the keys. It turns out you just have to turn on the lights. OK. (Makoto Kedouin, why you do this to me?!)

So Ayame takes the keys from the dead lady and escapes. She heads to the main entrance and finds this wall of metal blocking the view outside. It's like the hospital is being quarantined or something. Congratulations, Ayame! You are still stuck inside the creepy hospital. Might as well look for another exit...

The lights suddenly flicker then go off, making Ayame feel worse that she ends up wetting herself. Then she gets a flashback about a little girl screaming in panic. As she tries to recall the whole memory, her head starts hurting and she ends up feeling nauseous. Then, some SWAT guy with a flashlight shows up and keeps asking "Are you ok?". Ayame is overjoyed to find another person (who's not a ghost or some cray cray suicidal person) around. BUT THEN. She notices that something is off. He goes nearer and starts whacking her with a flashlight (with blood splattering effects and all). She runs away from him and bumps into zombie lady, so she runs away from her too.

Back at the waiting area, she obtains the keys to a door on the 2nd floor that leads to another floor. Behind the door is a stairway that's outside. It's raining really hard. The weather is so terrible that she decides to just go back inside... where she bumps into zombie lady again! The lady chokes her but some other lady appears and flashes light on zombie lady, which scares her away.

The lady who saved Ayame is Ritsuko. She tells Ayame that the zombie people appear when there's no light, so they'd better stay in a lighted area and introduce themselves there. They go inside the MRI room. Ritsuko tells her she's a press photographer. When Ayame asks what exactly is happening in the hospital. Ritsuko replies that she doesn't know. She then tells Ayame that she went to the hospital because she had a terrible cold. As she was sitting down and waiting in the lobby, she looked up and saw a mother throwing her child down from the 3rd floor. The mother then jumped off afterwards, making everyone who saw the incident panic. Ritsuko stood up in confusion and moves to where the bodies were. She was about to run, but she realized that it's a huge scoop, so she pulled out her camera and took a picture. She started to cough violently. Suddenly, the little girl who got thrown off the 3rd floor just stood up and went "RAWR!" (Seriously, it sounded like rawr to me xD). THEN! Out of nowhere like a teleporting ninja or something, some SWAT guy showed up and whacked Ritsuko on the head, making her lose consciousness. When she woke up, she found herself on a stretcher on the second floor hallway.

That's one bloody mess.

As Ayame and Ritsuko continue to talk, Ayame notices something in the room covered with a bloody white sheet. Ritsuko tells her that she's better off not looking at it, but Ayame examines it anyway and finds a dead body of a man underneath it. Ritsuko tells her that they were together a while ago, but his face "got eaten" by the zombie people so now he's dead. Ayame starts to cry. Ritsuko then suggests that they go to the Nurse's Station and stay there until help comes.

They leave the MRI room and take the elevator to the first floor (This is the route I played). When they get out, old man ghost appears and starts chasing them. Once they lose him, they head to the Nurse's Station where they see a girl being attacked/sucked on/eaten/raped by a zombie guy. Ayame goes "We have to help her!" So Ritsuko tries to get the door of the Nurse's Station opened while Ayame whacks zombie guy with a crutch she finds nearby. Chiyomi and Ayame hurriedly run inside the Nurse's Station. Apparently, Chiyomi (girl attacked by zombie guy) is Ayame's classmate so they were happy to see each other.

As they wait for help to arrive, Ritsuko suggests that they have coffee. So she makes coffee for the three of them. Ayame mentions that she lost her memory and Ritsuko suddenly gets all angry going "Why didn't you tell me? Aren't we comrades?" (Like.. chill out, Ritsuko).

Later, they receive a call from the MRI room and it sounds like there are other humans in there. Ayame wants to go check it out, but Ritsuko is extremely against it. This ends up in an argument between Ritsuko and Chiyomi. So, Chiyomi leaves the Nurse's Station.

True End

Ayame and Ritsuko continue to stay at the Nurse's Station. Ritsuko receives a message on her phone and they hear sounds of the door being sealed. It turns out, they really were getting sealed in. Soon, white gas fills up the room so they hurry into the vent. Ritsuko's all like "Go ahead. I'll catch up." so Ayame heads in first. Ritsuko barely has the strength to get herself up, so Ayame goes back and helps her. Ritsuko is humbled by Ayame's heroic act, so she decides to call her Ayame-sama. Ayame tells her it isn't necessary, but Ritsuko insists. They crawl through the vent and enter the X-ray room.

A short scene with an old man and a boy called Masato plays out. The old man thanks Masato for helping him out. The place they're in looks like a dilapidated hospital room. After that scene, it jumps back to Ayame and Ritsuko entering the X-ray room.

After unlocking the door, they head towards the MRI room. They find another classmate of Ayame's who's in panic. He runs out of the room. Ayame and Ritsuko continue down to the south of the MRI room and find that the dead body that was covered by a bloody white sheet is gone. They leave the MRI room and hear sounds coming from the Operating Room. They unlock it and find the missing dead guy there. He's now a zombie! He attacks Ayame. Ritsuko saves her then tries to get the door open because now they're locked in. The zombie chases Ayame around and she weakens it using the lights in the operating room. Once the zombie collapses, two people emerge from the closet inside the room. They're Ryuji and Kurara, Ayame's other classmates. They leave the Operating Room and decide to go find an exit.

As they step out of the hallway, they find that all the lights on the 2nd floor are off and there are zombies all over the place. They run down to the 1st floor where the situation is also pretty much the same except there are dead SWAT people all over the place too. So they run through the bloody mess while getting chased by zombies and arrive at the Main Entrance.

Best screenshot I can manage while getting chased. lol

At the Main Entrance, a gas bomb is launched at Kurara so Ryuji jumps in to protect her and they both get captured by SWAT people. Ayame and Ritsuko run through the hall dodging gas bombs and attacks from SWAT people. They reach the Main Entrance Door and manage to get out. Success!

.... but not quite a success.

Outside is Masami, Ritsuko's fiance. Behind him are more SWAT people. He gives an order to restrain them and goes "I won't let you escape!" Ritsuko is shocked to find out that the attack at the Nurse's Station was planned by Masami. He refuses to let them out because they're "Dead Patients". Ayame is confused, so Masami decides to show her by lifting her blouse and bra (Masami you perv.) to reveal a gaping hole in the area where her heart should have been. The game ends with Masami's maniacal laughter.

Bad End

After Chiyomi runs away, Ayame apologizes to Ritsuko and runs out of the room. She searches the place and finds Chiyomi inside the first floor west restroom inside a stall. Chiyomi is stuck there cause there's no tissue, so she asks Ayame to hand her a roll. /facepalm After Chiyomi finishes up with her restroom business, they chat for a while about childhood memories and stuff because Ayame wants to know more about herself. Once they finish, they decide to check out the MRI room.

They find nothing unusual inside the MRI room, so they go check out the Operating room and find nothing there too. However, when they go back inside the MRI room, the dead body that used to be there went missing. This makes them feel uneasy, so they decide to head back to the Nurse's Station.

When they arrive at the Nurse's Station, they knock on the door but there was no Response from Ritsuko. The door is unlocked, so they go inside and see a bunch of zombies feasting on Ritsuko. Instead of running away in panic or something, Chiyomi and Ayame just watch her get eaten. Ayame crouches down going "It's all my fault!" Then, more zombies go inside and feast on Chiyomi. Ayame just stays in place. After the zombies are finish feasting on Chiyomi and Ritsuko, they go after Ayame and eat her. The End!

[Translation] Dot Kareshi -We're 8bit Lovers! 1 (Part 1)

This game is called ドットカレシ-We're 8bit Lovers!- Ⅰ~でんせつのおとめ~. It's an otome game/ dating sim where the heroine gets sucked into a game she used to play and finds that the characters hold a grudge against her now cause of all the stupid things she did back when she still played the game. To get back to her world, she has to complete one quest.

There are 4 guys to choose from: Magician, Priest, Hero, and Thief. You can only pick one quest, and the quest you pick automatically leads you to a specific guy's route.

Dot Kareshi is a short game (around 1 hour gameplay for your first play), which is why I agreed to translate it. Despite it being that short, it's packed with a lot of comedy, so it was a pretty enjoyable game. xD

Hero: "Of course, you're coming with us, right?"

I made this translation for my friends so they can understand the game dialogue. I'm still noob at translating so some parts may be too literal or perhaps translated wrong.

* = temporary translation while I look for a better sentence to replace it with
--- = idk

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hero: Hey, are you awake?
Ah, so you've somehow returned to us. Do you know where this is?

Magician: It doesn't look like she knows.

Thief: Eh? Does that mean she also doesn't know who we are?

M: Really?  Do you remember us and this scenery?

T: Hey, how is it?

Choices:
Somehow I remember
I don't know
Don't tell me... that game? (pick this)

T: Awesome! I knew that if it's you, you'd definitely remember! Yaa- It's love isn't it? Love!
To put it bluntly, this is that game you played before(?). Inside unlimited quest that is.

M: What's with that stupid look? How about looking a bit more happy?
You're finally inside the world of that game you love.

H: It's impossible to be inside the game world? Haha! Accept the truth.
In fact, aren't we right in front of your eyes?

Priest: .... Your head doesn't feel good so you can't accept the truth?
Hey, Thief, pinch this girl's cheek, will you? So she can immediately accept reality. *

T: Then, I shall do it immediately.
How is it? Does it hurt? Do you understand now that this isn't a dream?
I knew a girl's cheek is soft. Touching it feels nice~
Ahahaha. Sorry, sorry. Did it hurt? Your cheek was just so soft that it felt nice touching it.
but thanks to that, you understand that this isn't a dream, right?
Do you finally believe what we're saying?

P: Why you're inside the game? You... You don't remember how you got inside the game?

T: We've always been watching from here. Look up at the sky.
You can see your room, right?

H: While you're playing the game, when we're following your commands, we've always been watching you.

P: ...Though it's really been a while since we've seen you ever since you abandoned the game.

H: We finally get to advance in the game... or so I thought. It looks like there's something different about the situation now.

M: Yes. there's something different from the usual.
If it's like usual, what we'd see is just your appearance playing the game.

T: Besides that, we saw where you entered from your room.

H: It was also fun watching you change your clothes there.

P: Fufufu~ What we've seen is now unaffected by defenselessness. It's good [nugipuri] isn't it? (Urk. must fix this D:

T: We saw as far as your cute underwear. You unexpectedly looked slender in them?

M: Just kidding. You stayed in your uniform, right?

H: If you had gone into the game in the middle of changing*, I would have enjoyed seeing you strip.

P: --- When you returned to your room, it looks like you noticed that the game immediately activated.

M: You must have been surprised, right? A game you haven't played in so long suddenly activated.

T: How we saw you changing your clothes was a lie though.
We saw that while you were inclining your head as something terribly strange was happening, you moved closer to the game.*

P: Humph. It's because you nonchalantly moved closer that this mysterious sort of thing happened.
Don't go near suspicious things. Have you finally learned that?
If the wind is this cold... Something bad might happen to you, you know?
As things are right now, even if we're stuck traveling together, you shouldn't complain, alright? Heheh~

H: Hey, hey, Priest. Don't do what you did just now. The conversation won't proceed.

M: That's right. First, we should explain everything to this girl.

P: Yeah, yeah..

T: No we shouldn't, while she's unprepared! When Priest sees aa (lol wat). His hands are fast.

P: You said it.

T: Ahahaha. [It's a bit troublesome?]/[He's like a hornet's nest] (I'm unsure which meaning he's using, but they more or less imply that Priest is troublesome) Let's get back to the conversation.

M: *sigh*

T: So, we'll return to the conversation. You... do you remember?
When you touched the game, a light came out with a 'pikaaa'.

H: At that moment, this place became connected to your room so you finally ended up here. Do you understand?
Huh? Why do you say that? I don't know the answer to that.

M: We've been explaining since a while ago that we're different from how we used to be.
When we thought about it we've become like this.*
Why did this happen? I don't know how you can go back to your world.

T: Well, well, don't look so troubled.
I don't think this world is too bad, you know? There are a lot of fun things here.

H: Rather than talking about how you got here, why don't we talk about all the various concerns that piled up?

M: Ah! that's a nice idea. I think I also have a lot of things to talk to you about.
.... We might as well ask your body. There are various and fun sensations

T: Hold it, we won't let you run away. I also have a lot of different things to talk to you about. Various things, yes?

P: ... That's right. Having a thorough talk with you once might be good

H: Don't look so scared. We just have a few things we want to talk with you about.
Even if you resist it's useless, you know? Do you think you have the power to stop my actions?

P: Isn't that right? Now that this happened, it must be god's guidance.
Shall we carefully accompany her?

T: Ahh.. look, this girl's getting shocked. She's getting all stiff. We should let her go
No, no. I'm fine. I too have some things I want to do with you after all.

M: Fufu. Why everyone's eyes are looking at you like that? You sure have a clueless face.
"The culprit may forget, but the victim doesn't." says it well.

T: You really know nothing about this? Hmm. That's a problem.

M: Then, we should start talking. As we stand before your eyes right now... Do you not notice something?

Choices:
A bit
It's like your personalities became warped. (pick this)
Umm...

M: YES. That is correct.

H: I'm supposed to be the good hero who vowed to defeat the demon lord for others' sake, you know?
The reason why our personalities became like this is your fault!

P: Why are you giving an "Eeeh" face? You're only one who could have done this.*
The reason we changed is because of you, you know?

T: That's right. This is because of all the stupid things you kept doing.
Our real personalities are now gradually getting warped.

H: Huh? You don't remember the horrible things you did?

M: Hoho~

P: Hahaha. Then why don't we remind her?
Do you remember Ludia's Tower when the enemy who is weak to physical attacks appeared?
Do you somehow remember what you did that time?

H: We challenged the final boss, physical attacks became ineffective so we immediately ended up with a game over, right?

T: Our party's main battle potential was in the Magician's offensive magic and Hero's sword.
When the hero's sword can't do any damage, then we'd lose.

M: The problem was after that
Frankly speaking, when we took a quest from an old man at the bottom of the tower,
You forgot that I could reduce the enemy's physical defense with my magic.
Do you remember?
Don't deceivingly smile at me like that! That was the scene where I could have taken the center stage!

P: When we were in the tower area, you leveled us up intensely, but in the end we were overpowered by the enemy.

M: Please give me back my turn! By all rights, I expected you to see that event movie!

H: That's not all... I...

M: How pitiful

P: .... I sympathize with you.

T: Umm.. yeah. Hero is the most pitiful of all.

H: You... You must surely remember what you did.
My... My name....

Choices:
I forgot
Of course I remember! (pick this)
Just Lotus root (renkon)

H: Ah, of course! If you had forgotten that nickname you gave me, I would have raged.
You...!! You kept the other characters' default name!!
I'm the only one you gave the nickname "Pickled Radish" to!

M: Pickled Radish... Pfft...

P: Pickled Radish *smile*

T: Pfft.. haha... You have no idea how much laughter we had to hold in.

H: You weren't holding it in! Don't laugh at me, you guys!!

M: Hahaha. I mean, it's because it's Pickled Radish! Pickled Radish! Of course we'll break into laughter!

T: Hahaha. Right?

P: Hahaha... The hero, Pickled Radish! Hahaha! That sounds appetizing!

H: Geh.

H: Why Pickled Radish? There are plenty of other names that are cooler...
Even if you intended to do it, it was diminishing. You weren't even playing the game before dinner.*
Nevertheless there's no Pickled Radish.

M: Well, if a person is given that nickname, they'd normally sulk.

H: I've strayed from the right path.

P: Looks like he strayed.

T: He strayed.

H: That's not all. You thought of another idea from the item recovery in the guidebook.*
My hobby became searching other people's houses, breaking their pots as I walk!

P: Don't give me that 'Waa!' look. Oi, oi... You did that sort of thing to Hero.

H: Don't give me "Sorry"! Apologizing can no longer help me recover.

P: Well, I can understand why you want to avoid troublesome quests as much as possible though.
I occasionally find it such a pain. There are times when I think "Ah. Taking a break would be nice".

T: No, no. Priest, you should do your job. If you don't, we can't do advance guard.

P: Hmph.

M: Right now, Priest is fine. The problem is you. You.
It's true that there may be a lot of troublesome subquests, but you'll be at a disadvantage at this rate.
It was also the same in Ludia's tower when you missed my movie.
Besides that, there were also a lot of other things you missed like our important episode.

P: For example, you... you don't know why I became a priest, do you?

Choices:
There was such a backstory?
I don't know
.... Sorry (pick this)

P: Fu~ How meek of you.
Are you slowly starting to understand how much you've put us through?

H: We want you to take responsibility. Isn't it natural to think that?

T: That's sounds nice. Responsibility. Responsibility for making us become like this. Thoroughly accept it.

M: All our accumulated resentment... You'll definitely take it, right?

P: You finally came here. We can not only see you, but touch you too.
We'll let you experience a lot of different things personally. Plenty of it.

M: How you're going to take responsibility? We'll carefully teach you how to take responsibility from here on.

T: I think the reason why you were brought into this world is to resolve things that need to be resolved.
So, to start with, why don't we do all the unfinished quests?
LET'S QUEST!
Yaa~ I knew having a girl in the party is nice and brilliant! The tension is going away!
How should I put it... when we see you from inside the screen and when you're here in person, you're cute.

H: .... Perhaps. While we saw her from inside the screen I thought she had the face of someone with a terrible personality.

M: When I think about it, she has a small build. We've always looked up to see her from inside the screen.
Seeing her from this angle is a fresh view.

H: You've always been controlling us from high up when you're playing. This time, you're with us in flesh and blood.

M: Even if you're part of the party, there's nothing you can do. You can't help being a burden.
Can you even participate in a quest?

H: Ah? When you return to your original world, you'll definitely follow a walkthrough diligently for the subquests?

T: "So please... I want to go back to my original world"?

P: ...... We told you we also don't know why you were brought here.
It's not that I'm saying it's impossible for you to leave.
But if that's the case, will you be fine all by yourself in this world?
Fufu. This is the world of Unlimited Quest, you know? Monsters are normally always around.
Ah, that's right. Doesn't this area have nice high leveled monsters that come out?
This is already the demon lord's castle vicinity.

M: You're right... If you're with us, we can protect you.

T: The clothes you're wearing now can easily be peeled off because it's made of cloth. When a monster attacks, you'll be in a pinch.

M: It looks like you'll get easily burned by fire attacks, and freeze from ice attacks.

H: Your clothes don't seem to have any defense power, nor stamina.

P: In the blink of an eye, you'll be left naked after your clothes get ripped violently.

M: Even with that frightened look on your face, it will be alright. If you're with us, you'll be safe until the end.
So, what are you going to do?

H: You'll definitely go with us, right?

M: Fufu.. It's good now that you've understood. Well then, shall we head back to town?

H: We can think about what quest to take next as we walk.

T: I wonder what's left for my quests.

P: You'll know when you check the bar's list. Walking back to town is a pain, but it can't be helped. The fun starts now.

H: Come on, let's go!

H: Oi, what's wrong with you? Looking around absentmindedly.

H: Huh? You stopped because there are a lot of things here you've never seen before?
.... What a strange girl. Happily and thoroughly looking around.

T: Looking from outside the screen and looking from inside it... Well then, aren't those two views different?

P: So it's like that. Actually... how you're right in front of our eyes in flesh and blood is in itself fresh.
..... After all, I can touch you like this. Heh. Why are girls' bodies so soft? Hm?

T: Huh? Priest is nonchalantly sexually harassing her again!
Look, it's dangerous for you to be defenseless. I'll protect you. Come here... Into my arms!

P: ... Oi, isn't what you're doing more sexually harassing?

M: Good grief. What are you guys playing around for?
You too. Don't play along with them.
..... Until I came along you would have been played with*

H: Oh right. It's fine even if you go with me to the bar, but a said cargo/house I want to forget
Check our status once.
I think you'll understand if you see it. As we are now, we have good stats to start with.
Don't tell me you forgot?

M: I told you not to play around. And right after I said it.... what do you think you're doing?
Let's review. This place is a village called Capella which is right near the demon lord's castle.

T: Feels like we're on the verge of the final boss battle and ending?
Who knew that you'd stop playing the game at this point.

P: You intended to keep yourself from playing the game until exams finished?
Well, I wonder. You might have completely forgotten about the game and left it as it is.
You stopped playing right at this point. Did you even consider our feelings?

H: With that timing, a new game came out. We were thrown out at the second round. After all, a new guy would run, right?*(erm..)

M: A person like you is a really terrible woman.

T: Right now it's certainly just for our convenience.
Can you really keep that promise?
Even if a new game comes out, you'll prioritize our game and clear whatever is unfinished?
Since you went through the trouble of coming here, let's have fun playing!

Choices:
M-Maybe
Of course! (+10 Thief) -pick this
.........

T: Ahaha. If you say it like that, I think I can believe you.
I also like playing with you.

P: ..... Well, even if you'll say that you don't want to play, it can't be helped.
You might have been in the player position until now, but this time we're in control.
We'll play with you a lot.

H: You can have a great adventure now that you've entered the world of the game you admire.
You shouldn't you be satisfied? Be happy about it! Come on, come on, come on.

M: Ah, don't tease her. Even if we say it's a great adventure, don't worry. You don't remember?
In this village, you maxed out our stats and levels.

T: You might have ignored the subquests, but you leveled us up through field battles, which is pretty amazing.

H: Only seeking strength as you continue... Are you some kind of trainee monk? It's like you imposed a quota?
Don't smile like you're dodging the question! Or rather.. don't deny what you did!

P: But now you understand why we say it's safer to be with us, right?

Choices:
Yeah, it's amazing (+5 Priest)
I'll rely on you. (+10 priest) -Pick
You can also defeat the demon king, right? (+0)

P: Huh? Even if you rely on us, whether we save you or not depends on whether we feel like it.
When you need restoration magic, I expect you to do you best in revering me.

H: By the way, maybe that small display on the upper left is your status... I think.

T: "Eh?" Why are you that surprised? Now that you're part of the party, of course there'd be a status display.
Ah, lucky! Your status has your three sizes written down.
Your bust size is... what is it? Ah, just as I thought you do have some.

P: It's pointless to hide it. The numbers are displayed on your status, so it can be found out.

H: Why are you trying to close the status screen? Isn't it fine for us to know your three sizes?

M: You're right. the intracranial measurement's numerical gap is practically non-existent.*

T: Eh- But I knew that when I see the figures like this, my real feelings emerge.*
The more I think about how your bust size is agreeable, I feel like I'm fluttering. Yes.

P: Heh.

T: Eh, Priest, what's with that scornful laugh? And that dull, uninterested face? You also find it very interesting, right?

P: You don't get anything at all, huh? The most important part is the variation between the bust's top circumference and under circumference.

T: ...!!
I-It's true that the bust's top might be the only part that's big and the under is practically non-existent, so the bust would be just like a thick log.
(Translator's note: /facepalm. I can't believe I'm translating this..)

P: And that's how it is. So, what's the measurement of your under?

T: You don't have an answer... how cold! If it's like that, it can't be helped.
Hmm.. Hmm... Now I see.
I'm not like Magician who can tell the measurements just by looking, so that's why I had to touch you.
My hands are skillful, so even if my job is a thief I won't lose to him.

P: So, what are your thoughts after touching them?

T: Let's see..
Requesting me not to say anything... I can't decline your request, huh.
And there you have it. It's my and this girl's secret only.

P: Tch.

M: Why your three sizes are displayed on the status screen, you ask.
Even you know our height and weight, right?

H: Normally, our heights and weights are written on the user's manual, right?
You can even check our individual status screens.

T: Or rather when you complete a quest, more personal information comes out.

M: It really does increase. Though I want it to stop revealing more about my dark past.

H: I know right? Small gossip! And things like my failures when I was a kid. I wish they'd stop putting it down.

M: And that's how our complaints go.
Putting that aside, when I look closely at your stats, they're rather disastrous.
Ah! I'm not talking about your three sizes. It's your HP.

H: Woah. Seriously? Your HP only has two digits.
Even Magician and Priest who have no physical strength have HPs with four digits.

P: This area's monsters can cause hundreds worth of damage with just one blow, you know?

T: Which means...

H: If you get hit once by the enemy, you'll die.

M: Normally, Priest can cast a resurrection spell with his white magic in the village church but...

H: ......

M: ......

T: .......

P: ........

H: .... Will resurrection magic have an effect on you?

M: How far does this world's laws have an effect on someone from a different world?
This is an extremely interesting research topic. I certainly want to do an experiment.
Would you like to try being my experimental subject?

 Ermergerd. I liek experiments.

M: Even if you're shaking your head that hard... Well, if we conduct it together, we will probably have a chance to get results from it.*

P: Whatever kind of corpse there is, if there is a corpse, I'd resurrect it in any way I can ... is what I'd like to say but....
Do you want to give it a try?
Don't restrain yourself. My white magic is the best in this world, you know?
.. Tch. If you don't like it that much, I'm not going to resurrect you when you die.
If you want to be resurrected, kneel before me. During that time, you'll cling to me lamenting about your mistakes and sins of the past.

T: ... but if she dies she won't be able to repent though.

H: Don't say "The quests now are scary. I knew it's impossible!"

M: I understand that you'd feel uneasy after seeing your disastrous status but...
If you have a look at our stats, you can rest easy, right?

T: That's right! We're going with you, so it'll be alright!

H: We're going to protect you, because we'll clear the quest together.

P: ...... Well, these guys are excellent walls. If they do advanced guard, we'll clear the objectives with them as fine physical walls

T: Don't say such a scary thing!

P: But it's the truth. You're with those kind of people, so don't have such a miserable look on your face.

H: well then, let's check the bar for any quests we can take.
...... Oh, but before that, let's make a stopover.
I'm sure it was this way...
I think it was this house.

M: Hm? Standing around in this place... is something wrong?

T: Eh? Why is it natural to break into people's houses?

P: You're seriously asking that? Haven't you been doing it until now? ITEM SEARCHING.

H: I'm pretty sure this house's pots have restoration items, which is why we're breaking in.

T: Yes, yes. keep struggling. However, I understand how you feel. Trying this out now gives you wonderful feelings of guilt, right?

M: "However, it's that kind of method."

H: Come on, just join us already!

-Inside house-

H: Pot... Pot... Ah! Found it. 1... 2... *break* Huh?

T: Hero, what are you doing?

P: Quit playing around.

H: I'm not playing around! Huh? I wonder why...
You little... *attempts to break pot*

M: ...It's not breaking. Give it to me. I'll try breaking it.

M: Lightning Spell!

H: .... Haa? Smoke is coming out, but there's not even a single crack on it!

P: What the hell are you guys doing? Hand it here. *swings staff*
I used full swing on my staff and it still didn't break?

T: Eeeeehh? What?! How?! I want to try breaking it too! I'm next! 1...2.... *break*
It's seriously not breaking! I used all my strength when I threw it on the floor. It's still not broken!

P: Instead.. it's the floor that's broken.

H: Well, with our stats at maximum, the floor would break if we hit it with a blunt weapon using our strength.
But... why didn't the pot break?

M: I wonder what could be going on. I don't sense any spell protecting it from damage.

H: .... There's no curse on it either.

T: Hmm... it doesn't seem like a trap either. It's status is also 'An ordinary pot commonly found in private houses'.

H: An unbreakable pot that's not protected by a spell, nor cursed, nor a trap?
Is this pot of orichalcum quality?

M: During the first time you tried to break it, a restoration item certainly came out of it, right?

T: Yes, yes. A good number of fine restoration items.

P: If we hold it upside down and shake it, won't its contents fall out?

H: ... Damn. Breaking pots inside people's homes and seizing its contents is the true pleasure of a hero...
Don't look at me with those eyes! Moreover... you're the player that made a person become like that!

T: .... Eh? Isn't that a restoration item?

M: .... You're right. It looks like some kind of paper, but it doesn't seem to be a magic skill scroll.

P: What's that item? Debug list?

H: Debug list? What is that? I haven't heard of such an item.

M: There's also something written on it. Let's see...
Bug Details: In extremely rare occasions, the player gets sucked into the game. It's a serious bug.

P: Client Support: Though it may be called a rare instance, I believe there is a method in getting out.

T: Company's Note on Debugging: The method of getting out is explained below.
Some of our firm's staff went missing, but they were able to return after clearing a quest in the game.
In dealing with the worst case scenario, make sure to refer to this record.

P: Also, when the bug mentioned above happens, please watch out for interlocking bugs.
... what the hell is this?

H: That means the reason why you're here and why this pot won't break is all because of a bug?

M: It's most likely so. Perhaps, other unusual things might also happen.

T: Like an enemy's HP not going down even if we cut or hit it?

H: .... What a nightmare.

P: I don't think it will go that far, but it might be good for us to mentally prepare for it.

M: You're right. We're lucky to have a lot of knowledge.*

T: We'll probably be able to figure out right away what's a bug and what's not right.

H: Just maybe. We were able to obtain this strange information while searching for items so.....
As things are, you have no problem with taking a quest with us, right?

M: I think you'll definitely have no problem with it. Our advantages and disadvantages complement each other.
For the sake of returning to her original world, completing a quest is necessary.
We want her to clear the quests she left unfinished, so
.... There's no problem with it, right?

Choices:
No problem
I feel kinda uneasy about it.
Yeah, I'll rely on you. (+10 Magician)

M: ..... It doesn't feel bad having you rely on us.

H: Well then, let's go to the bar!

P: Got it.

T: Let's go!

P: ... ah? Why are you suddenly stopping?
Someone is around?
It's not unusual to see people here. This is a house where people live, you know.

H: Don't worry. Being a Hero, I am exempted from the laws of this world.
I'm allowed to do almost anything like doing whatever I want to people's houses.

M: I've heard from a villager that this particular house has no information worth exchanging.
Let's hurry up and leave.

H: Right? Come on, let's go!

-At the Bar-

Bar Master: Yo. Welcome!

H: Pardon our intrusion.

BM: It's been a while. What's today's business about? Wine? Food? Or is it a quest?

H: Wine and food will do for now. Do you have anything you want to eat?

Choices:
That's not the case! (+0)
I'll pass.(+5)
I'll finish the quest (+10 Hero)

H: It's true that the quests have piled up. Hmm.. then I'll have to control myself for now.
And so that's how it is. Today we're here to take a quest.

BM: Sure thing. The quests I can give you have piled up quite a bit, you know?

T: As usual, it's a massive quest list, huh...

P: That's cause someone didn't work on finishing the quests and made it all pile up.

M: This quest list is already as thick as a grimoire.
How long has the oldest quest on the list been in there? When I think about it, it's startling.

T: Waa, seriously? The oldest quest is from the first town you enter, where you have to eliminate slimes to control the outbreak.

P: I have no interest in such a small fry quest.
.............

H: Hm? What's wrong, Priest?
It's like you have a serious look on your face.

P: That paper mentioned that if this girl completes a quest, she'll return to her original world, but...
Doesn't that mean she can only clear one quest?

H: HUH?

T: Eeh?!

M: No way...!!
Indeed... that paper didn't mention any more details about what happens after a quest is cleared.

T: That means it doesn't matter what kind of quest it is. She just has to clear one so she can get back to her original world?

P: That is a possibility.

H: ............

M: ............

T: ............

P: ............
You guys... Which quest did you intend to take with her?

H: A quest for the hero, "Obtaining the Legendary Hero's Sword", right?

M: I intended to take the "Obtaining the Legendary Grimoire" quest.

T: I thought of taking the most difficult quest for the thief.

P: I intended to take whatever quest on obtaining restoration magic for the priest.

H: .... but, it's possible that this girl can only take one quest.

M: We all share the feelings of wanting to make some progress on our quests.

T: Yeah, yeah. I wanted to let this girl know more about me.

H: If that's the case then... we'll just have to let her choose.

P: Let her choose?

H: Why are you so surprised?
Even if you arrived in this world, you're still the player.

P: .... That's right. It's just as Hero said. We're letting this girl choose.

T: Agreed! If we talk it out ourselves, we would never come to an agreement.

M: That's right... That is most understandable.

H: So there you have it. Who's quest do you want to do?

- At this point, the story splits into the specific routes so I'll cover them in a separate post-

... Phew. Finally finished the first part. Zzz..Zzzz..Zz...
